Tomosynthesis is a heavy data problem, since a single three-dimensional exam can reach a gigabyte or more. We build high-throughput networks and tiered storage, often with a vendor neutral archive or scalable PACS storage, so current studies load instantly at the workstation while older exams move to cost-efficient long-term archive without losing fast retrieval.
